The organizers and promoters of the Chips Quinn Scholars program talk about what an opportunity it is and describe how the program could be the instrument that propels us to an excellent career. Sure, I thought, they say that because it’s what they have to say.
But they are right. Hearing from the professionals and scholars from past classes who’ve gone on to have illustrious careers, win awards and climb the industry’s ladder has been inspiring. It has shown me that this experience means that I am joining a family. I must have done something recognizable to get here. I can have a great career, too, and the Chips Quinn program will help me get there.
