Deconstructing conversation

Today we had a speaker from The Poynter Institute, Keith Woods. He had an inspiring talk/discussion about breaking down our conversations, questioning, and our responses with other people, both in the professional world and in our personal life. Not only was his talk well performed, he also involved the students, asking them to relate to the situations he was talking about. He managed always to come to an antidote, sometimes using the students’ own examples to prove his points. I left his talk wanting to focus more on the way I communicate, not only as a journalist, but also in my personal life.
