The main thing I learned today is that multimedia will kill old journalism. And I think it's great.
I read the paper on occasion while growing up, but I was always bored by the seriousness of it. It was sterile and reeked of beige. You know: who, what, where, why, blah, blah, blah. I love content on the Internet because it is entertaining and exciting, and the best coverage gets me interested once I'm done reading. Not that traditional print media can't be fun to read. I just feel that with the tools that were presented to us today, I can actually see how the future of journalism will work: informed, efficient and engaging.
Goodbye five W's, hello New Media.
