Entering a new, fascinating world

For years, journalism professors have told me that my career as a print journalist would likely be short-lived due to their prediction that newspapers would soon be extinct. Today, I was introduced to an unfamiliar world, the fascinating world of multimedia. After listening to several lecturers, I found that I lack education in an area of journalism that is the wave of today and the future. I now feel that I, too, can learn to bring my storytelling to life through photos, video and sound. I have a new appreciation for and interest in multimedia. Journalism is not a field that will be disappearing anytime soon, if ever. Journalism is simply expanding and morphing to mold to new technological times.
