Jack Marsh, vice president/diversity programs for the Freedom Forum, has been one the most helpful speakers so far. Aside from his engaging “broadcast” voice, he has offered concise advice. Like him, I'm interested in the training and retention of young journalists and would love to be in charge of that type of work someday, as he is now. But for now, I'll settle for a gratifying job on a metro desk.
